This study aims to look into different the types of code-switching that teacher employs when teaching English at Al-Hidayah Boarding School and function teacher's on learning School. writer has conducted this through a qualitative method with case design. An is subject in study. The collected data using observation interview instruments. results analysis showed use by occurred total 199 cases; (1) intra-sentential 88 times, (2) inter-sentential 76 (3) tag 35 times. used found three functions; Topic switch, affective function, repetitive function. mostly assist him conveying material functions avoid misunderstandings.
